Five Arrows Hotel
This Victorian Grade II listed property stands near the gates of Waddesdon Manor, home to the Rothschild art collection and owned by the National Trust. The Five Arrows was built to accommodate the various artisans during the construction of Waddesdon in the late 1880s and it derives its name from the Rothschild family emblem. The Five Arrows is both charming and stylish and the bedrooms, all recently renovated, are beautifully appointed and comfortable in a contemporary county house style. Each bedroom is named after a Rothschild wine or vineyard and is individually designed with antiques and original pieces from the Manor. The food is excellent and Five Arrrows can provide everything from a simple light lunch to a full-scale gastronomic event for a wedding or banquet. The modern European menu includes such dishes as Duo of Venison, pan fried loin, slow cooked haunch, braised leeks, fondant potato, caramelised chickory, cauliflower puree & chocolate wine jus. The notable wine list encompasses everyday and rare wines from both the New and Old Worlds, including, of course, many great Rothschild vintages. Guests also receive a complimentary Gardens ticket for neighbouring Waddesdon Manor.
